Kerry Shen
CEO

Kerry used to be a senior manager of the Audit and Business Advisory Division of Arthur Andersen. He has broad experience in asset reorganization, business process re-engineering, financial audit and business advisory. He was involved in a number of initial public offering in the Chinese, Hong Kong and U.S stock exchanges.

Kerry was seconded to Arthur Andersen’s Hamburg Office in Germany between 1998 and 1999 where he provided financial and advisory services to transportation, hi-tech and telecommunication companies. He was also sent to the United States several times to attend trainings on US GAAP. He had a comprehensive understanding of the western accounting principles, audit methodologies, business administrations, taxes and other matters.  He can service the clients using Mandarin, English or German proficiently.

In year 2004, Kerry became Managing Director of Neuventure. He acted as overall financial advisor to several Hong Kong and Singapore IPO projects and inter-country acquisitions.  Kerry is also an expert in business process engineering, risk management and financial management.  Kerry has comprehensive understanding of the domestic and western accounting, financial and tax matters and has serviced hundreds of FIEs, including a lot of Fortune 500 and Global 1000 clients.

Kerry is a practing member of the China Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“CICPA”), and is licensed to practice in the securities-related businesses.  He is a member of the Expert Board of CICPA, Expert Board of Asia-Pacific Fortune Economy Research Center (APFER) and International Management Accountants Association (IMAA) and is a member of Expert Committee of Asia Pacific CEO Club.

Aaron Shen

Partner

Aaron graduated from University of Nan Kai (Tianjin), majoring in auditing. He had also obtained the Master of Business Administration of Hong Kong University. Aaron is the partner of Neuventure Financial Advisors Ltd. 

In the year of 1993, Aaron joined Arthur Andersen, working as the auditor of Assurance and Business Advisory Division. During his 3 years’ career in Big Four, Aaron mainly focused the statutory audit of MNCs (Bell, Sharp, Nippon, Sara Lee Corp, etc.), and IPO audit (Wuling Diesels, Shanghai Electricity, etc.). 

In the year of 1996, Aaron left Big Four and joined Fortune 500 MNCs as the Finance Leader. During his 13+ years’ experiences in the industry of FMCGs (APP, Carlsberg, Pepsi), Aaron was very experienced in strategic decision-making, controllership, FP&A, process controls, risk management and financial software implementation. Aaron had worked with Pepsi Co. as the Financial Controller of Mainland China for 6+ years. 

Before joining Neuventure in the year of 2010, Aaron was the CFO of a sportswear retailer company (Really Sports), which is the biggest distributor of Nike and Adidas in Mainland China and yields approximately Rmb 3billions turnover per annum. 

Aaron is both of the member of CICPAs and CICTAs with the practice qualification.

Irene Liu

Irene graduated from Fudan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law. She also receives the MBA Degree in the field of Financial Market from School of Management, Fudan University. Irene is the partner of Neuventure Financial Advisors Ltd.

 

From year 2000 to year 2004, She worked with Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers where she provided assurance and business advisory services to multi-national companies in diversified industries, such as Wyeth Nutritional & Pharmaceutical, Shanghai International Airport Co., Ltd, Jiangxi Jiang Ling Motors Co., Ltd, Dalian Container Terminal Co., Ltd., China Unicom Co., Ltd., Heilongjiang Branch (A Share listed); Straco Corporation Limited (Singapore Pre-IPO) etc. In year 2005, she joined Mercer Consulting, a NYSE listed company, acting as its China Finance Reporting Manager.

 

In year 2007, Irene joined Neuventure as the Senior Manager and afterwards was promoted as Partner. With years of comprehensive experience on third-party accounting and finance controller service, Irene possesses rich expertise in US GAAP and Statutory-to-GAAP (IFRS and US GAAP) conversion, FP&A, Management Accounting, SOX 404 implementation, and Tax Planning i.e.US tax equalization. In addition, Irene also has successful experience in providing Corporate Finance Advisory Services to seller side and buyer side.

Davy Tao

Vice President

 

Davy graduated from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics majoring in Tax, and has so far 11+ years experience in the field of financial consulting and tax planning. Davy is the Vice President of Neuventure Financial Advisors Ltd.

 

Before joining Neuventure, Davy worked with KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers, his main responsibilities included assurance and business advisory (Haier Electronics, Rhodia China Investment, etc.), domestic and overseas IPO (China COSCO, Pacific Plywood, etc.) and due diligences in merge and acquisitions.

 

In the year of 2004, Davy joined Neuventure as the consulting group manager, mainly focus on the services of Merge & Acquisition financial due diligence, US GAAP auditing and Sarbanes Oxley Acts 404 (“SOX 404”) implementation.

 

Davy is the member of the CICPAs with practice qualification (member ID: 310000072362).

Angel Xu

Vice President

Angel graduated from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics majoring in Certified Public Accounting, and so far has 11+ years of experience in the field of financial consulting and controllership. Angel is the Vice President of Neuventure Financial Advisors Ltd. 

Angel joined Arthur Andersen in the year of 2000 and then worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers until 2004 after Andersen was merged with PwC in Greater China. During over 4 years’ experiences in the Big Four, she mainly focused on domestic and overseas IPO projects (China Unicom, Ingersoll-Rand) and the assurance and business advisory services (Sony, Epic Music, Logitech Electronics, Alcatel, etc). She also involved in the Merge & Acquisition due diligence cases, e.g. Pacific Department Store acquired by SOGO in Greater China and SONY merged with ERICSSON in its mobile business line. 

Angel joined Neuventure in the year of 2004 as the manager of consulting team. After that, she mainly focused on the services of SOX 404 implementations, US GAAP auditing, business process risk control, Foreign Corrupt Practice Acts (“FCPA) compliance check and Merge & Acquisition financial due diligence. Angel had been seconded to GE for 9 months working on controllership and COSO matrix design. She is very experienced in U.S. SEC reporting and is also well versed in Statutory-to-GAAP (IFRS, US or HK GAAP) conversion.

Angel is the member of The Fellowship of Chartered Certified Accountants (“FCCA”) (member ID: 0295439), and also the mentor of CPA Australia (member ID: 9449019).

Mike Tao

Mike graduated from Shanghai Fudan University majoring in Accounting, and so far has 8+ years of experience in the field of financial consulting. Mike is the Group Manager of Neuventure Financial Advisors Ltd.

 Mike joined KPMG after his graduation and worked with the assurance and business advisory division for more than 3 years. Clients of Big Four he serviced for included: China Telecom, Yum, Henkel, Adidas, Interbrew and etc.  

Mike joined Neuventure in early 2006 as the manager of consulting team; afterwards he mainly focused on the services of: Merge & Acquisition financial due diligences, US GAAP auditing and financial consultation. In the field of Merger & Acquisition, Mike is specialized in seller-side financial advisory service, e.g. Pre-IPO financial consulting, business plan’s preparation and business negotiation support. He is also experienced in Statutory-to-GAAP (PRC vs. IFRS/US GAAP) conversion for companies intending to be listed in U.S. SEC (NYSE, Nasdaq or OTCBB) or other overseas capital markets.  

Mike has enrolled for the Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) course, and obtained the license of Level II.
